DC piling installed 873 nr 275mm square precast piles to depths of 10 meters for a new industrial building for McAree Engineering.

The site is situated on an old lake used as part of the Ulster canal and was overlain with peat and made ground. Over 6500 meters of piles where installed to carry the purpose built 3,700m2 (40,000 square feet) factory unit with 8,000 m2 yard space, adjacent to their current facility which will double their capacity to manufacture their V-MAC range of bulk storage silos.

Two Junttan piling rigs were mobilised to complete this job, a PM16 and a PMx20

Completed in 2012, DC Piling provided full piling and foundational beam services for this project. The new Fiat & Vauxall garage just outside Dungannon posed a signifigant challenge as the Old Glengannon Hotel’s foundations still existed on site and obstructed some pile positions, to combat this we worked alongside engineers to create bridge foundations that were supported either side of the existing foundation by piles,saving time and money.

Starting with very poor ground conditions, DC Piling is delivering full Piling services for this £5 million project.

Bradleys Pass is a social housing development in very poor ground conditions. It consisted of traditional block-work structure a mixture of modular and traditional foundation. The development is being completed to a very high standard providing renewable energy with Photovoltaic panels for high energy efficiency.

DC Piling was awarded the contract for this £6 million project in Buncrana Road, Derry.

Buncrana Road is a social housing development constructed in very poor ground conditions. It consisted of modular timber frame housing on modular ground beams plied foundations. The development was completed to a very high standard providing renewable energy with Solar panels for high energy efficiency.
